A shed fire seared a Kent home early Saturday morning, the Puget Sound Regional Fire Authority reported.

No one was injured in the fire, which was report at 6:28 a.m. in the 4300 block of South 262 Street. The fire is under investigation.

Firefighters were able to keep the fire from spreading from the residential storage shed to the house, but the two-story home and a fence sustained some damage from the radiant heat.

There were reports to 911 of a ruptured gas line at the fire, but firefighters found the gas line and meter undamaged. There was at least one portable propane bottle in the burnt shed that may have accounted for the reports.

Units from South King Fire and Rescue, Medic One, and District 20 also responded to the incident.
