A 36-year-old SeaTac man was killed about 3:15 p.m. Sunday, June 21, when his motorcycle left the roadway and collided with a tree in the 25900 block of 144th Avenue Southeast in Kent, just north of Lake Meridian.
The man was northbound on 144th Avenue Southeast when he lost control, said Kent Police Assistant Chief Jarod Kasner in an email. Preliminary information indicates speed may have been a factor. Kasner said traffic investigators were still processing evidence recovered at the scene to determine an estimated speed. He said the speed limit is 25 mph in the residential neighborhood.
Puget Sound Fire personnel and paramedics provided aid to the man, but he died at the scene.
