Sea Mar Community Health Centers will offer free scheduled drive-thru and walk-up appointments for COVID-19 testing every Monday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., starting Monday, June 22, at its Kent Medical Clinic, 233 Second Ave. S.

Those looking to get a test must first call the clinic at 206-436-6380. Appointments for COVID-19 testing will be scheduled after an evaluation is done with a Sea Mar provider over the phone. Testing is free for all family members. Health insurance is not required. You do not need to be a Sea Mar patient to receive a test – all are welcome, according to a Sea Mar news release.

The testing site will be in the parking lot. People who schedule a drive-thru appointment will remain in their cars for their test. People who schedule a walk-up appointment will receive their test outside under a tent. All tests will be administered by Sea Mar staff. Test results will be expected within 72 hours, with laboratory services by Quest.

“It’s important for Sea Mar to protect our most vulnerable communities, including Latinos, brown and black communities, individuals experiencing homelessness, and people who are under and uninsured,” said Dr. Ricardo Jimenez, Sea Mar vice president of Medical Affairs and chief medical officer. “By providing weekly free COVID-19 testing, we’ll be able to slow the spread of the virus and keep our families safe.”
