The City of Kent and about 90 volunteers from the Boy Scouts, neighbors and Waste Management, planted 140 Douglas fir trees and weeded Clark Lake Park on Saturday, Oct. 10. The event gave the city some much-needed volunteer work, and the scouts are no doubt on their way to merit badges.
