Summer vacation is over in Kent as schools opened Thursday in the Kent School District for the 2012-13 year.
Students will be closed Monday, Sept. 3 for Labor Day. The final day of school is June 19.
Schools are closed on the following dates:

Oct. 12: No School
Nov. 2: No School
Nov. 12: Veterans Day
Nov. 22-23: Thanksgiving
Dec. 20 – Jan. 2: Winter Vacation
Jan. 21: M.L. King Day
Jan. 28: No School
Feb. 18 – 22: Presidents’ Break
March 15: No School
April 8 – 12: Spring Vacation
May 27: Memorial Day
