Kent residents can bring items they can’t easily recycle at the curb, including appliances, tires, up to three file-size boxes of confidential material to shred, mattresses, Styrofoam and more to a residential recycling event from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 15 at Russell Road Park, 24400 Russell Road.

Items that won’t be accepted include televisions, computers, or laptops. For locations on where to recycle these, visit takeitbacknetwork.org.
