A Kent woman’s call to the Kent Police about a possible abduction of an 18-to-22-year-old woman Wednesday morning on the West Hill turned out to be a false report.
Detectives determined through further investigation Wednesday night that the incident did not occur, according to an e-mail from Kent Police Lt. Steve Ohlde.
“It was determined through investigation that it was falsely reported,” Ohlde stated in an e-mail sent out to the media.
The woman told police the incident took place in the 2600 block of South 260th Street near Pacific Highway South.
