For the Reporter
Auditions for singers in grade 2 and up who wish to join Rainier Youth Choirs are Thursday.
The auditions are designed to be low stress where RYC staff will check for voice quality, range and listening skills with some fun echoing exercises. Singer potential is more important than a polished performance.
RYC is a nonprofit, community-based organization for boys and girls with no religious affiliation that offers family-friendly, chorus levels for singers in grades 2-14.
Rehearsals are Monday evenings in Covington and performances in Kent. The RYC 2014-15 Imagine Season continues with two more concerts, Untraveled Worlds at 2 p.m. March 15, and Out of the Blue at 2 p.m. May 31.
Visit www.RainierYouthChoirs.org for more information about scheduling and preparing for an audition.
