Puget Sound Fire Authority Fire Chief Jim Schneider tendered his resignation at Wednesday night’s Governance Board meeting, effective Sept. 4, the fire authority reported Thursday.
Schneider joined the fire authority on April 8, 2002, and has brought about many changes and improvements to our department, including: international accreditation; becoming a regional fire authority; contracting with the city of SeaTac; rebranding/renaming process and other steps in regionalization.
According to the fire authority, more information will become available as the process begins to find a successor to Schenider.
