Robbery
Two men escaped with an undisclosed amount of cash after they reportedly robbed a fast-food restaurant at about 10:10 p.m. Feb. 10 on the 1300 block of West Meeker Street.
One man displayed a silver handgun during the incident, according to the Kent Police report.
An employee of the restaurant told officers he was returning from taking out the garbage when a man grabbed him from behind. The man, wearing latex gloves, put a hand over the eyes and mouth of the employee and forced him back inside the business door.
The man took the worker to a back office and made him face the wall.
A second man then approached a female employee in the office.
That man displayed the silver handgun, pointed it at the woman and demanded cash.
The men received the cash and fled on foot.
The employees described the two men as black, ages 20 to 25, with all-black clothing.
At least one of the men wore a black mask.
A police dog searched near the restaurant but could not locate them.
