Kent Police arrested a man for investigation of fourth-degree assault after he reportedly busted a bedroom window that cut his male roommate in the face with the broken glass.

The incident occurred at about 9:37 p.m. April 17 at a house in the 11800 block of Southeast 274th Street, according to the police report.

The roommate who was allegedly assaulted told police that the man drinks alcohol everyday. He said they started to argue and the other man began to cuss at him. He didn’t want to fight or argue, so he locked himself in his bedroom.

The man started to bang on the bedroom door but the roommate did not answer. The man then went outside and broke the bedroom window, possibly with a sprinkler that officers later found outside the window. The glass shattered and cut the roommate’s face. The roommate called 911 to ask for police from inside his bedroom.

Harassment

Police arrested a 27-year-old man for investigation of harassment and third-degree malicious mischief after he allegedly banged on a neighbor’s house door, broke a vehicle window and left a threatening voice-mail message.

A woman called 911 at about 10:18 p.m. April 17 about a verbal dispute at a house in the 21200 block of 124th Avenue Southeast, according to the police report.

The man reportedly came to the woman’s house, banged on her door and said he was going to assault her and her family because he thought her son had broken a window of his. He also left a threatening voice mail for the daughter of the woman.

Drugs

Police arrested a man for possession of marijuana and a misdemeanor warrant after an officer spotted him sitting on a porch at about 10:29 p.m. April 16 at a home in the 500 block of West James Street.

The officer drove past the house when he recognized the man on the porch from a previous domestic violence incident at the home, according to the police report.

The officer got out of his car to talk to the man and discovered through dispatch that the man had a misdemeanor warrant out of Auburn.

When police searched the man, he reportedly had a plastic bag of marijuana in his pants pocket.

Police transported the man to turn him over into the custody of Auburn Police.

Assault

A woman called 911 to report that her boyfriend had allegedly slapped her in the face during a dispute at about 2:25 a.m. April 17 at an apartment in the 25400 block of 110th Avenue Southeast.

Officers cited the man via mail for investigation of fourth-degree assault after they were unable to locate him at the apartment complex, according to the police report.

The woman told police she could not remember what they were arguing about but that she and her boyfriend were drinking alcohol together that evening before the incident. She said the boyfriend had been staying at the apartment.
