Assault
Police arrested a man for investigation of fourth-degree assault after he allegedly grabbed his brother around the neck and threw him to the floor at 11:43 p.m. July 29 at a home in the 24600 block of 116th Avenue Southeast.
The brother under attack fled the home and called 911 because he feared his brother might grab an axe as he reportedly had done during two previous fights, according to the police report.
The man who had been attacked told officers he did not know why his brother had attacked him. He had walked into the living room when his brother jumped off a couch and grabbed him. The man had red marks on his neck and upper chest from the attack.
Both brothers left the house after the incident. Police arrested the alleged attacker in a nearby field after a short search of the neighborhood.
The officer noted in his report that he recognized the address and home from two previous calls of fights between the two brothers.
Drugs
Police bicycle officers cited a man for investigation of possession of marijuana after they initially stopped the man for riding a bicycle without a helmet at about 6:50 p.m. Aug. 1 in the 200 block of West Titus Street.
When the man started to remove his identification from his pocket, one of the officers noticed a glass pipe in the pocket. The man handed the pipe to the officer, who reportedly smelled marijuana on the pipe.
Assault
A woman reportedly punched her boyfriend in the face during an incident July 27 at an apartment in the 25000 block of 45th Place South because she believed he had been cheating on her with another woman.
The man called police to report the incident. He told officers he had started to pack a few of his belongings in a box to leave when the woman reportedly hit him in the face, according to the police report.
The officers noticed that the man had a cut upper lip.
Police issued an at-large citation to the woman for investigation of fourth-degree assault. The woman had left the apartment with her four young children before officers arrived.
Officers recognized the apartment because of previous reports of threats and assaults between the couple.
Robbery
Two teenage boys reportedly punched a man and stole his wallet as the man walked home at about 1:30 p.m. Aug. 3 in the 10600 block of Southeast 256th Street.
The man told officers two teenagers sitting at a bus stop yelled at him to come their way, according to the police report. The man ignored the teenagers and kept walking.
The teenagers followed the man and one reportedly punched the man in the face as the other teenager grabbed the man’s wallet from his back pocket. The teenagers then fled on foot toward a nearby apartment complex.
The man estimated the boys were between 16 and 18 years old.
