Representatives from Pike Place Market visited Nicki Vannatter’s fourth-grade class at Meridian Elementary in Kent last Friday to thank Vannatter for being the market’s 250,000th Facebook follower.
Vannatter received a variety of gifts from the market, including a galvanized steel Market Charm that can be inscribed with a message and installed on the new MarketFront expansion at Pike Place Market later this year.
Scott Davies, education and outreach manager for Pike Place Market, also gave a presentation to Vannatter’s students about the history of the market and handed out a sweet snack.
