A project permit application has been filed with the city of Kent to build a seven-story, 56-unit apartment complex downtown on the northwest corner of Second Avenue South and West Willis Street.
The first two floors will include parking for 59 vehicles and lobby area, according to the application filed by Tukwila-based Ronhovde Architects. The upper five floors will have the market-rate residential units and amenity space.
A vacant single-family home, trees and bushes on the property will be removed at 407 Second Ave. S. The land, which also includes 421 Second Ave. S., is zoned for downtown commercial enterprise.
Ronhovde Architects specializes in commercial, mixed use and residential architecture. The company’s clients include individuals, private developers, property managers, building owners, commercial brokers and corporations.
