An overturned box truck blocked the east and southbound lanes late Friday morning in Kent at the major intersection of 116th Avenue Southeast and SE Kent Kangley Road.
A delivery truck was headed southbound at about 10:30 a.m. on 116th Avenue Southeast when a van turned in front of it causing the collision, said Kent Police Assistant Chief Jarod Kasner in an email.
It took about an hour to clear the scene. Both drivers had minor injuries and went to the hospital as a precaution, Kasner said. The truck driver was in his 20s. Police had no details about the other driver.
The city Public Works Department reported that some lanes were blocked from about 11:40 a.m. to 2 p.m.
