Drivers can expect alternating lane closures for road repairs overnight in Kent along the heavily traveled Washington Avenue North between West James Street and West Meeker Street.
The alternating southbound and northbound closures on Washington Avenue North are from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. The southbound closures are April 15, 17-19 and 24. The northbound closures are April 16, 21-23 and 25.
The state Department of Transportation will be alternating closures of all lanes for north and southbound traffic. Closures will be for all lanes of traffic in the direction indicated and there will be marked detour routes available. WSDOT contractor crews will be working on roadway repairs and upgrading sidewalks and curb ramps for ADA compliance. Traffic control will be in place.
