Kristen Anne Meyers, 53, has been identified as one of the two victims in a May 11 fiery single-car crash in Kent.
Meyers died of multiple blunt force injuries, according to the King County Medical Examiner’s Office May 17 report. The medical examiner has not yet released the identification of the other person in the vehicle.
Two people were killed in the crash in the 2400 block of South 272nd Street on the West Hill, just west of Interstate 5.
Officers were dispatched at about 7:40 p.m. after multiple witnesses called 911 to report a speeding vehicle had struck a tree and caught fire, according to a May 11 Kent Police news release. Witnesses said they tried to remove the two occupants but were unsuccessful.
On arrival, officers and Puget Sound Fire personnel found a white sedan completely engulfed in flames, according to police. Both people were dead.
Police traffic investigators are looking into what led up to the crash.
