OktoberFAST coming Oct. 8 to Pacific Raceways in Kent

Event to feature road racing, beer and food

Enjoy road racing, beer and food at OktoberFAST on Saturday, Oct. 8 at Pacific Raceways in Kent.

Entry is free. Racing goes from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. while beer and food is available from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the track, 31001 144th Ave. SE.

The Four Horsemen Brewery in Covington is hosting the beer and food that will showcase some of their fall favorites, including Posie Pilsner, Son of a Pumpkin Sour and Heemeyer Hefeweizen plus Raspberry Cider Smash.

The food items will include bratwurst, fried sauerkraut and pretzels with beer cheese and other choices.

The Pacific Raceways Invitational is a road race with classes for a wide variety of race cars on the track’s 2.25-mile, 10-turn road course and will include open wheel formula race cars and closed wheel race cars classified by engine displacement and weight.

The three-day Invitational opens with a test and tune on Friday, Oct. 7 OktoberFAST on Saturday with qualifying in the morning and sprint races in the afternoon, and another round of sprint races on Sunday morning with featured races Sunday afternoon. Saturday’s OktoberFAST will also include the Wild West Sedan Challenge and the Emerald Cup for formula cars to close out the afternoon.

Infield viewing of iconic Turn 3A/3B and Turns 5A/5B will be available. Fans are asked to bring a lawn chair or blanket.

Fans also can enjoy a free car show featuring all makes and models.
