Northwest Kidney Centers will open a new dialysis clinic this month in the Panther Lake area of Kent.
The nonprofit outpatient dialysis provider will host an open house from 2 to 4 p.m. Thursday, March 30 at the 9,473-square foot clinic at 10821 SE 204th St., just north of the Kent Panther Lake Library. Northwest Kidney Centers has clinics in King, Pierce, Snohomish and Clallam counties.
The clinic will have 11 dialysis stations and be able to accommodate approximately 66 patients three times a week for lifesaving blood-cleansing treatments that take about four hours each time. It also will include dedicated training space for home dialysis patients, and offer free community health classes to help people at any stage of kidney disease optimize their health, quality of life and independence.

The clinic and support space was designed by Mahlum Architects, which has offices in Seattle and Portland. The clinic includes room for future expansion. Bothell-based Aldrich and Associates was the general contractor.
Kent has one other Northwest Kidney Centers at 25316 74th Ave. S. Other centers in neighboring cities to Kent include Auburn, Federal Way, SeaTac and Renton. The nonprofit first announced plans for a second Kent clinic in 2020.
Northwest Kidney Centers is a not-for-profit, community-based provider of kidney dialysis, public health education and research into the causes and treatments of chronic kidney disease. Founded in Seattle in 1962, it was the world’s first outpatient dialysis organization and today is the eighth largest dialysis provider in the United States serving nearly 2,000 patients a year in 19 dialysis centers and eight hospitals in the Puget Sound region.
Northwest Kidney Centers’ mission is to promote the optimal health, quality of life and independence of people with kidney disease.
