The Airways Brewing Co. opens its doors for business from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, March 11, at 6644 S. 196th St., No. T-100, in the West Valley Business Park, at the corner of 196th and West Valley Highway. According to its Web site, tap-room hours are 4-8 p.m. Thursdays and Fridays. The company describes itself on Twitter as “a new microbrewery halfway between Seattle and Tacoma.” According to the only write-up the Kent Reporter could find, on nwbeerguide.blogspot.com, the brewery specializes in English-style ales, is the brainchild of Alex Ditmar and James Gesford, and has a distinctly aircraft-themed tasting room, complete with tap handles made from original Boeing 747 door handles. Catch it on Twitter at twitter.com/AirwaysBrewing, and at its Web site: www.airwaysbrewing.com.
