A 20 year-old Kent man was killed at about 8 a.m. Wednesday when his motorcycle collided with a vehicle driven by a 37 year-old Kent man, according to a media release from the King County Sheriff’s Office.
The motorcycle was traveling eastbound on Southeast 208th Street when the northbound vehicle exited the Indigo Springs apartment complex at 11101 SE 208th St. and tried to turn west onto the street. The motorcycle hit the vehicle on the front left side.
The driver of the motorcycle, a Kent Easthill resident, was wearing a helmet. King County Medics declared the man declared dead on scene after resuscitation efforts by Kent firefighters failed.
The driver of the vehicle was not injured.
There is no evidence of drug or alcohol involvement, and it is unknown at this time whether speed played a contributing factor in the collision.
The King County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the cause of the accident.
