Kent could get 4 to 6 inches of snow when the storm strikes Friday afternoon and into Saturday.
Snow, heavy in spots, has begun across portions of the Olympic Peninsula and Puget Sound, including Marysville and Lake Stevens, on Friday morning, according to the National Weather Service. Expect snow continue to spread across the area Friday morning into the afternoon. Snow will be heavy at times through the evening. The heaviest snowfall is predicted between 1 to 9 p.m. Friday.
The latest graphic above shows predicted snow amounts and when the snow will arrive, according to the National Weather Service, which released the information at about 10 a.m. Friday. The latest report indicates the snow hitting in the afternoon rather than Friday night.
Just after one snowstorm hit last weekend, a couple of more storms are on the way to the Seattle area and Western Washington, according to the National Weather Service.
Another snowstorm could hit the area Sunday, Monday or Tuesday. Temperatures are predicted to be highs in the upper 30s and lows in the 20s.
