Juan de Dios Morales and Melissa Kozy have been selected as the Kent Rotary Students of the Week.
Both are students at Kentlake High School.
Morales, a senior, is the son of Pedro and Elvira Morales.
Morales has 3.88 grade point average and takes classes at both Kentlake and Green River Community College through the Running Start Program. He has also spent nearly a year volunteering on weekends for the Seattle Food Bank. Morales also played soccer in both middle school and high school.
After graduation, Morales plans to attend the University of Washington where he expects to major in computer science or engineering.
Kozy, also a senior, is the daughter of Mary and David Kozy.
At school, she is a member of the Honor Society and the Environmental Protection Club. Kozy is also in her third year as a member of the varsity volleyball team and ran track this past year as well.
After graduation, Kozy plans to attend a four-year university to study biochemistry or neuroscience with the hopes of attending medical school.
She is considering Stanford, the University of Utah and Brigham Young University (in either Utah or Hawaii).
