A 55-year-old Kent man suffered a gunshot wound to the leg during a road rage altercation in Kent at about 7:25 a.m. Monday between the 21200 and 21600 blocks of 84th Ave. S.
Officers responded to the area of the ARCO gas station in the 21200 block of 84th Ave. S., after reports of multiple gunshots, according to a Kent Police news release. The man who fired the shots fled the scene and has not yet been located.
Preliminary reports indicate that the man who fired the shots was in a sedan type of vehicle and fled northbound on 84th Avenue South. Detectives continue to investigate the shooting with information from witnesses and collecting evidence at the scene.
Paramedics transported the shooting victim to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle after personnel from Puget Sound Fire stabilized the man, according to police.
