Kent Police continue to investigate a shooting that reportedly injured one person following a dispute at a Kent residence late Monday night.
Officers, who were dispatched to shots being fired in the 20100 block of 93rd Place South around 9:30 p.m., found a 37-year-old man lying on the ground and a 38-year-old man standing near him with a gun. The armed male cooperated with officers and was immediately detained, while medics and officers stabilized the other man who had been shot once in the torso and once in the leg.
The man was conscious and transported to a local hospital for treatment.
Preliminary reports indicate that the men knew each other. Detectives continue to gather information from witnesses and are collecting evidence from the scene, working to clarify the circumstances that led to the shooting.
