On Monday morning, June 28, a trail runner found a man who’d been missing for eight days in the wilderness near North Bend.
According to the King County Sheriff’s Office, the runner found Andrew Devers, subject of an intensive search by local Search and Rescue volunteers, near North Bend’s Middle Fork Trailhead, and Medics transported him to a local hospital for evaluation.
According to the KCSO, Devers told authorities that he survived his ordeal on berries and river water.
The KCSO offered its thanks to all regional SAR volunteers.
