Federal Way Police are searching for details of what led up to the fatal shooting of a man on Sunday night.
At about 11 p.m. on July 25, Federal Way officers responded to the 31700 block of Fourth Avenue South after multiple reports of gunfire, according to Cmdr. Kurt Schwan.
Officers found a single victim, a man they believe to be in his 20s, laying in the street with several obvious gunshot wounds. Police, South King Fire and Rescue personnel and King County medics attempted life-saving efforts, but the man died at the scene, Schwan said.
Detectives from the department’s Criminal Investigations Unit have responded. As of Monday morning, Schwan said, police have no suspect information nor any information as to why the shooting occurred
