An 83-year-old man who died of a medical emergency while driving in Kent has been identified as Carlton J. Nagel.
Nagel, of Kent, died of hypertensive and atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease and the manner of death was natural, according to the King County Medical Examiner’s Office Feb. 23 report.
Nagel was driving in the 22400 block of 132nd Avenue SE at about 10:16 a.m. Feb. 20 when he pulled over to the side of the road for a medical emergency, according to Kent Police. He left the car in gear and it rolled forward until crashing.
Nagel died at the scene. Paramedics transported an 81-year-old female passenger, the wife of Nagel, to a local hospital with minor injuries.
