FBI Las Vegas assisted the Kent Police with the arrest Monday, Sept. 28 of a man wanted for attacks on a woman in Auburn and a 15-year-old girl in Kent.
Detectives were able to track the man to Las Vegas, according to Kent Police. With the assistance of FBI Seattle’s Violent Crime Task Force and FBI Las Vegas, he was taken into custody without incident. He is now awaiting extradition back to Washington.
“Without their assistance, it is possible the suspect would continue to be on the run,” Kent Police said in a statement about the FBI.
Orlando Alexander has been charged in King County with first-degree burglary-domestic violence when he reportedly broke into a Auburn home on Aug. 15 and forced his way into a bathroom to attack a woman and her 4-year-old son, according to the King County Sheriff’s Office.
“He was stomping her head and kicking her,” said Sheriff’s Office Sgt. Ryan Abbott in a report on Q13 Fox. “He had already punched her and had knocked her down to the ground. The female victim was trying to shield the child, so the child wasn’t hurt, but the female sustained pretty serious injuries.”
Detectives said he stole $283 cash off a coffee table on his way out.
Alexander, who was recently featured on the Q13 Fox show Washington’s Most Wanted, also allegedly attacked a 15-year-old girl on July 25 at the Hawthorn Suites, 6329 S. 212th St., in Kent.
“He actually was seen grabbing the female victim, lifting her off the ground, slamming her onto her head and kicking and stomping on her as she lay unconscious on the ground,” Abbott said.
The girl suffered a broken clavicle and a concussion, according to Q13 Fox. County prosecutors charged Alexander with second-degree assault.
Alexander’s criminal history includes two convictions for unlawful possession of a firearm, illegal drugs and possession of a short-barrel shotgun in Pierce County, according to Q13 Fox. Detectives said on the Most Wanted show that Alexander could be staying in the Tacoma area.
