Man arrested after brother says he was choked

A fight between two adult brothers March 24 ended with the arrest of one of them for investigation of fourth-degree assault. The incident took place at a home in the 13100 block of Southeast 258th Street.

Assault

A fight between two adult brothers March 24 ended with the arrest of one of them for investigation of fourth-degree assault. The incident took place at a home in the 13100 block of Southeast 258th Street.

One brother told police his sibling became upset with him and put him in a choke hold. When the man later tried to call 911, his brother ripped the phone out of the wall to prevent him from calling, according to the police report. The arrested brother denied to police that he even touched his brother. Nobody told police what had started the dispute.

Drugs

Police arrested a woman for investigation of possession of drug paraphernalia and for a warrant out of Tukwila for obstructing an officer, in an incident at 11:50 p.m. March 27 at a hotel parking lot in the 1200 block of Central Avenue North.

Officers spotted a van in the parking lot with several occupants. They asked a woman to step out of the passenger side of the van and discovered the woman had a warrant out of Tukwila, according the police report.

Police then searched the woman and found a pipe in her jacket pocket that the officer described as the type of pipe used for smoking marijuana. Police took the pipe as evidence.

Assault

Police arrested a woman for investigation of fourth-degree assault after her adult daughter reported being hit by her during a dispute at 3:14 p.m. March 22 at a home in the 26600 block of Manchester Avenue South.

The mother, reportedly drunk, was arguing with her daughter’s fiance about cleaning a playhouse in the yard, according to the police report. When the daughter stepped in front of her mother, the mother reportedly hit and clawed her. The mother had been visiting at the home for a few days from Tacoma.

Drugs

Kent Police cited a man for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia at 5:25 p.m. March 20 near the intersection of West James Street and Washington Avenue South.

Police pulled over the driver of a vehicle for an unsafe lane change and discovered the man had a warrant for a third-degree theft charge in Renton, according to the report. After searching the vehicle, officers found a glass pipe and plastic bag reportedly containing marijuana.
