Residents can learn how to start up a Block Watch program at a class led by the Kent Police.
The class will run from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 26 at Council Chambers at City Hall, 220 Fourth Ave. S.
Block Watch 101 is designed to help neighborhoods form a new block watch or revive and old one. This is an opportunity to hear about crime trends in the city from the Neighborhood Response Team officers, learn crime prevention tips and how to set up a block watch.
