The Lake Wilderness Arboretum Foundation kicks off a new “Explore With Us …” series in 2017 by visiting the gardens, displays, trails and other features of the Maple Valley arboretum.
The program is Thursday, Jan. 12, from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m., in the Cedar Room at Lake Wilderness Lodge, 22500 SE 248th St., Maple Valley.
Lake Wilderness Arboretum Garden Manager Susan Goodell will provide a slide presentation, sharing photos of gardens, its unique specimen plants and native second-growth forest. She will also share information about educational programs and opportunities at the arboretum.

Coordinated by the foundation’s docent group, most of the Explore one-to-two hour programs occur in mid-morning or early afternoon at or in close proximity to the arboretum.
The monthly programs are free and open to the public unless otherwise posted.
