The Kentridge girls swim and dive team needs the public’s help to stuff the truck.
The team – in conjunction with Clothing for the Cause – hosts a fundraiser Saturday from 1 to 3 p.m. The public is invited to bring unwanted clothes, shoes, household linens, purses and belts to the school, 2430 SE 208th St.
Other items accepted are new and gently used towels, stuffed animals, hats, sheets, blankets, bedspreads and drapes. All items must be dry, clean and in a tied plastic bag.
Glass, breakables, electronics, pet beds, bed pillows, carpeting, throw rugs, uniforms and hotel linens will not be accepted.
Donated items will be re-worn, recycled and repurposed.
The swim team will be paid by the pound for everything they collect. Proceeds will help offset the costs of running the Kentridge girls swim program.
