The Kentridge High School Chatelaines won two state titles in the 4A state dance and drill competition last Friday at the Sun Dome in Yakima.
The Chatelaines took first place in the dance and show categories and finished third in kick, receiving the highest possible rating ⏤ superior ⏤ for each performance.
“The most rewarding part of being a co-captain is seeing the teamwork and perseverance that each (Chatelaine) demonstrated to become state champions,” senior Makenna Holmes said.
This was Kentridge’s second consecutive state title in the dance category.
Kentwood High School finished third in the dance and hip hop categories, and McKenna Duncan, from Kentwood, won the drill down.
