Kent Police are looking for a man who shot and injured a 23-year-old Kent woman early Saturday morning at the Gator’s Sports Bar and Grill, 21609 84th Ave. S.
At about 12:32 a.m., officers responded to the bar after reports of a shooting, according to an email from Kent Police spokeswoman Melanie Robinson. Paramedics transported the woman to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. She remains in stable condition, Robinson said on Monday.
The suspect in the shooting is known to the woman, but the man fled before officers arrived. Police have identified the man, but have not yet tracked him down.
“Kent investigators are currently working toward locating the suspect, and have not yet released his name,” Robinson said. “It is still unknown what the actual reasoning was for the shooting. It has been determined that the victim and the suspect did know each other.”
Detectives are following up with witnesses and all leads, Robinson said.
