Kent Police are still trying to determine who shot and killed a 52-year-old Kent man who died March 3 in a bar parking lot on the West Hill.
Clifton Plunkett died from a gunshot wound to the chest, according to a March 10 report from the King County Medical Examiner’s Office.
Officers responded to a CPR in progress call at about 7:34 p.m. at JJ’s Bar and Grill, 23826 Pacific Hwy. S., according to an email on March 6 from police spokeswoman Melanie Robinson.
“It is very early in this investigation and investigators are still trying to determine motive, so there are a lot of unknowns,” Robinson said. “This is being investigated as a homicide.”
The shooting suspect or suspects have not been caught.
“I have nothing additional I can release at this time,” Robinson said.
This was the third shooting in Kent in a two-day period. Police have not made arrests in any of the cases.
Police are still looking for who shot and injured a 39-year-old Sikh man on March 3 on the East Hill during a possible hate crime. Police also are looking for who shot and injured a 20-year-old Tukwila man late in the afternoon on March 2 during a drive-by shooting near South 228th Street and the West Valley Highway.
