Due to anticipated freezing temperatures, the city of Kent Parks Human Services division will activate the Severe Weather Shelter at Kent Lutheran Church, 336 Second Ave. S., on Monday, Jan. 13 and Tuesday, Jan. 14.
The Severe Weather Shelter will be open from 8 p.m. to 7 a.m. both days. All clients must register upon check-in.
The high and low temperatures for Monday are predicted to be around 34 and 23 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. The high and low for Tuesday is predicted to be around 30 and 21 degrees.
