The best 16- and 17-year-old hockey players from around the Western District of the United States will be converging on Kent this weekend for the USA Hockey Pacific District Select Camp, hosted by the Kent Valley Ice Centre.
The camp includes the best young players from five states including Wash., California, Alaska, Oregon, and Nevada. This weekend’s camp is a step away from the national camp in either Rochester, NY (16-year-olds) or St. Cloud, Minn.(17-year-olds).
The event is free and open to the public. The camp takes place from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, and 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday.
