The Kent Sunrise Rotary gears up for its third annual Oktoberfest set for Saturday, Oct. 12, from noon until 8 p.m., under the tents at the Red Barn, 206 Railroad Ave. N. in downtown Kent.
Fifty percent of the proceeds from the event will support returning veterans and at-risk youth.
“This popular fundraiser will benefit local returning vets and at-risk youth, as well as support other Rotary projects for our community,” said Cindi Cameron, event chair. “Along with Oktoberfest grub and grog, there’s plenty of entertainment planned.”
Las Vegas’ Manuela Horn, the “Austrian Amazon,” returns as a yodeling, dancing, acting comedic force of nature. The Golden Steer will serve authentic German food.
Tickets are $25 in advance, $30 at the door and include a stein with your first beer or wine. Visit www.OktoberfestKent.com to purchase tickets and donate.
The Kent Sunrise Rotary Club is part of Rotary International, a worldwide organization of business and professional leaders who provide humanitarian service, encourage high ethical standards in all vocations, and help build goodwill and peace worldwide.
