Many Kent School District students were selected this year to participate in Washington Music Educator’s All State groups.

These students spent time preparing an audition CD and waited up to a month before finding that they were selected as one of the top students from across the state and were invited to Yakima over the President’s weekend. Together with their music teachers, these students all prepared several pieces of music and headed to Yakima.

The All State performers played for packed houses of music teachers, parents and friends over the weekend. Many groups received standing ovations for their work.
