A total of 1,504 vehicles dropped off storm debris in Kent during a King County collection event last weekend.
The vehicles poured into Kent’s Russell Road Park to drop off branches on Saturday and Sunday, according to a city of Kent media release.
King County hosted the free event, which drew 2,510 residents over two weekends. Vehicles brought in 2,979 cubic yards/893 tons of material over the two weekends.
The event was exclusively for wood debris from the recent storms. Stumps, logs and limbs no longer than 6 feet were allowed – no brush, leaves, grass clippings, sod or soil was accepted.
