The Kent School District honored its 11 Employees of the Year at the May 25 School Board Meeting.
Employee of the Year winners exemplify the Kent School District’s mission of successfully preparing all students for their futures and they provide unique and valuable contributions to the KSD community.
“We received 75 nominations from employees across the district,” district representative Robert Humes said. “We asked representatives from each association to score nominations together. This allowed uniformity across the scoring process and allowed each scorer the benefit of exposure to the amazing work so many employees provide to our schools.”
Employees of the year include:
• Teresa Allen, nutrition services manager at Kent-Meridian High School
• Michael Andrews, safety officer at Cedar Heights Middle
• Lynnette Christie, library paraeducator at Sawyer Woods Elementary
• Allison Deno, school improvement officer
• Jessie Depew, custodian at Fairwood Elementary
• Keith Flewelling, bus driver
• Christopher Howard, social studies teacher and soccer coach at Kentridge High
• Jami Kauzlarich, counselor at Springbrook Elementary
• Gregory Kroll, principal at Martin Sortun Elementary
• Billie Ryan-Howard, preschool teacher at Kent Valley Early Learning Center.
• Marylou Wadagnolo, office manager at Panther Lake Elementary
