A school bus driven by Marnie Harstad struck Lynn Hagan, a school bus driver, as she crossed the parking lot at the Kent School District’s bus depot at 6:40 a.m. today.
According to school district spokesman Chris Loftis, Hagan was stabilized at Harborview Medical Center but remains in critical condition.
Harstad, who has worked for the district for six years, has been placed on paid administrative leave.
Per district protocol, a drug and alcohol test was conducted but there is “no indication that this is anything other than an accident at this point,” Loftis said. “Our hopes and prayers are with Lynn at the hospital.”
