City of Kent road crews will start their shifts at 4 a.m. Friday and maybe even sooner to combat a predicted snowfall of a couple of inches late Thursday night and early Friday morning.
As much as 2 inches of snow could fall at higher elevations, such as the East Hill, according to city officials.
City public works officials do not anticipate hazardous driving conditions but crews will be out on the East Hill, West Hill and in the Valley to help clear roads.
The National Weather Services predicts warmer temperatures by 10 a.m. Friday with light snow turning to rain and the temperature reaching 40 degrees or higher by noon.
