Customers who eat at any of five Kent restaurants on Tuesday, Oct. 2 will help raise money for the “Ending Hunger One Step At a Time; CROP Hunger Walk.”
The restaurants will donate 5 percent of receipts on Oct. 2 to fight hunger. The participating Kent restaurants include Maggie’s on Meeker, Golden Steer, Paolo’s, Wild Wheat and Azteca.
The Kent CROP Hunger Walk will take place on Sunday, Oct. 7 beginning at 12:30 p.m. at Kent Lutheran Church, 336 Second Ave. S., in downtown Kent.
Church World Service is organizing the walks in communities across the nation, including about a dozen in Washington.
