A Tukwila company has been misrepresenting itself as being affiliated with local fire departments during door-to-door stops, according to the Kent Regional Fire Authority.
Red Safety is an actual company, but it is for-profit and not working with the Kent RFA or any other local fire department, according to a posting by the Kent RFA on its Facebook page.
The Kent RFA wants residents to know that its firefighters will never come to your door selling anything and that members will always be in uniform, drive department vehicles and carry fire department ID.
If you have any questions or concerns, contact the Kent RFA at 253-856-4481.
Red Safety, on its website, refers to itself as a home safety company that sells fire and security equipment. It was founded by a professional firefighter.
