Students interested in becoming community leaders are encouraged to apply to the Kent Police Youth Board.
The board is comprised of more than 20 students from high schools and middle schools in the Kent School District. Some goals of the group are to inspire positive action in the community, educate and raise awareness of youth issues through youth-driven activities, have a positive influence on their peers toward making healthy choices and develop friendships with board members.
Those wanting to become a members can join the board from 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. March 7 at the Kent Senior Center, located at 600 E. Smith S.
