Kent Police, responding to numerous complaints about criminal activity and safety issues, made two arrests and shut down the El Habanero restaurant after searching the business late Friday night.
Officers and detectives at 11 p.m. served a search warrant on the restaurant at 1819 W. Meeker St.
Police received complaints regarding drugs, guns and shootings, under-aged alcohol sales and consumption along with sexual assaults.
Valley SWAT was on location for the service of the warrant due to past calls involving firearms. Kent Police and the Valley SWAT performed the sweep in cooperation with the Washington State Liquor and Cannabis Board, and Washington State Fish and Wild Life.
There is no projected date when the restaurant will reopen.
