Kent Police are looking for this man in connection with a March 29 robbery at a Circle K convenience store

The Kent Police Department hopes someone will recognize and identify a man wanted for robbing a local convenience store earlier this year.

On March 29, the suspect entered the Circle K convenience store at 27121 Military Road S., shortly after 1 a.m., according to a May 27 Kent Police media release.

After loitering inside the store for several minutes, he knocked a 55-year-old store employee to the ground and grabbed several packages of cigarettes before running out the door. The employee suffered a fractured pelvis as a result of the incident.

Since then investigators have obtained surveillance video showing the man while inside the store. He is described as a white, 30 to 35 years of age, standing 5 feet 6 inches tall with a thin build. He also has a 1-inch scar on his cheek.

At the time of the robbery, the man was wearing a blue denim jacket with fleece collar, black jeans and a black colored baseball cap.

“The indifference this suspect showed to his victim when he knocked her to the floor gives us cause for concern,” said Kent Police Lt. Pat Lowery. “Our hope is to catch him before he hurts anyone else.”

The Kent Police ask that anyone recognizing the suspect in this incident call the Kent Police TIP line at 253-856-5808.
