Three masked, armed men reportedly fired shots and robbed two convenience stores early Monday morning in Kent.

Kent Police are searching for three men and the getaway car, a green 1996 Subaru Impreza with WA license plate BDZ2928, according to a police media release. The vehicle was reported stolen Sunday out of Oregon. The suspects are believed to be males, around 18 years of age with average height and weight, and are considered armed and dangerous.

At approximately 1:45 a.m., patrol units responded to a 7-Eleven store, 511 Central Ave S., for a takeover-style robbery with reports of one shot being fired. According to store employees, three suspects entered the store, pointed guns at them, and one of the suspects fired a shot. The suspects stole an undisclosed amount of money.

Officers were unable to locate the suspects, and as they were still investigating the first robbery, another call came in at 2:53 a.m., in regards to another takeover-style robbery. The same three suspects entered the Chevron store, 27121 Military Road S., again brandishing guns, and this time fired two shots during the robbery. They again stole an undisclosed amount of money and fled prior to police arrival.

Nobody was injured in the shootings.

In review of video surveillance footage, the suspects wore dark clothing, masks and gloves.

Their description is as following:

• Suspect number 1 was wearing a black puffy hooded North Face jacket, black Adidas pants and tan work boots.

• Suspect number 2 was wearing a black hooded Adidas jacket with three white stripes down sleeves, black Adidas pants, black boots and a green mask.

• Suspect number 3 was wearing a puffy hooded gray jacket with black sleeves, black pants with three gray stripes down the legs, black New Balance shoes, a blue long sleeve shirt wrapped around his head and gloves.

“We are thankful that no one was hurt in either of these incidents; our goal now is to identify and locate those involved and get them off of our streets, this is a zero tolerance situation,” said Detective Melanie Robinson in the news release.

Kent Police are asking anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or the Kent Police tip line at 253-856-5808.
